Raptors draft Indiana SF/PF OG Anunoby and the 4 and JV

at 23  Raptors  took OG Anunoby who  if he was able to workout after a season torn ACL  he suffered  in a win over Penn ST in January, made  him unable  to work out  but the 19th year  old defensive wiz  has  the potential at 6"7 230 to  guard SG-PF especially with their  being more agile and less bulky PF @ C's. He   is raw    offensively and  his  shooting  motion needs work on the mechanics  of better timing and  not  rushing shots. But defensively he  is ready especially with a 7"2 wing span, At the present  moment from the clips I see similarities to current SF/PF Demar Carroll, both inconsistent  Offensively but  bring it  everything on the D  end, What I see better in OG is  willingness  to  go to the basket as  he  before getting hurt   runs the court well similar  to   Siakam who wold snak up  court and was a   constant favorite   for Lowry to  throw  the   long high pass for a easy lay up or dunk, he  is able  to run like  how  he  was  he   will a  good Slasher  that should be a a  guy that should  some easy looks  for   alley oops and  quick cut passes  to  the  basket  for quick  dunks. This move a also makes  it a   make  it or  break year for Bruno  who  will have  to fend  off  OG to make the  team. It will be  interesting  if the team   moves  JV  is moved  for a vet  PG or a   sharpshooter SG, PG only if Lowry  leaves  but I think they would  roll with the trio of Joseph Wright and Van Fleet, the  rumours are Ibaka will resign  for 20 million a year and   be  moved to C and the team gets a new  PF or re-sign Patterson and he and Siakam the D League Finals  MVP can   hold down the 4.

I was someone in favour of letting jose go, Keeping Edwin and adding Fowler at RF to give  the team a more balanced  batting order  that could  both at  times  hurt  you by the long ball  but also score via doubles and  singles, and solve last year's problem. runners Left in scoring position. Pierce is a career 250 batter the team needs a  un upgrade and until they should call up vlad Guerrero JR until Pierce is back, Vlad is batting .340 in AA

 not facing a team  with many batters that can match  what the  jays O can do, Followed by Happ  you have a reliable guy in Estrada  that needs to forget about his start vs New  york as usual the offence  can match or vastly overdue the A's O. The Jays will need  both gm 1 & 2 starts to  go 6  or 7 strong and give the bullpen at least 2-3 run leads to work with. If the  Birds can get a sweep it will boast morale   for both the tam and front office that we   have a team   ready to push harder for a wildcard spot.

Grilli Finished goods

Saturday’s 7-0 loss to the Yankees, was truly ugly, ineffective hitting and 4 HR's allowed by Jason Grilli looking like he is finished goods.

Martin missed  his 3rd straight game with a  sore neck, hopefully when the team goes out West he  is back to stabilize himself as  either  the #8 or #7 hitter in the line up as  if we  thought Martin's April batting was terrible  we  have seen Maile as ineffective as Martin was  in April buth with a fully loaded line up and pitchers wanting to not  want to throw certain pitches to Donaldson, Jose Travis , Martin and Pillar should benefit.

Why kyle Lowry cant have it both ways

At age 32 Kyle lowry wants  to win a  title and  as well got top dollar  in free agency after  outplaying his 12  million salary, now mike  Conley's deal is what has  inflated  his value as Memphis  gave conley 5 years 133 million an average of 30.6 million a year, With that price and Lowry and Chris Paul much better   point gaurds  both  want more, both have been linked  to the Spurs as Tony Parker is at the   end  of  his career and his best  days are  behind him, the Spurs  to contend  in the playoffs with Golden state, Houston need to  have a faster  up tempo  offence which  both  Lowry and Paul can  give, but  the Spurs  have a  ton of  money  committed to Leonard and  Aldridge that if Lowry wants 20 million  the Sours are  unlikely to  be able to give that. Toronto will likely only retain PJ Tucker and try dumping Carroll 14.6 salary to add pieces  off the bench, ethier Powell starts at the 3 or plays between the 2-3 and on D is at SG while Demar is at  SF to help  size matchups. Toronto has been rumoured to overhaul the O after it could not score  vs the Cavs, and possible a 3 year 50 million deal is the best they can offer 15-17, be  blunt  we  value  you and are  giving you a raise but we need  a better supporting cast and this  is the best we can do, if you Stay you are still on a contender. Amir Johnson possibly returning to Toronto
